Looking for a DVD of the above film but can’t find hide nor hair on Amazon or anywhere else. Do I have the right name for it. I think it was about a fighter Squadron during the last war. Any help would be appreciated:confused:.

I don’t know if you have found a copy yet but today I was at The Masson Mills Shopping Center type place in Matlock Bath ( Driving Duties ..! ) The old, Sir Richard Arkwright Mill.
They have several copies of this DVD there, together with a load of other old films…

Hope this might help?

That’s almost as bad as “Did you know Natalie Wood?”
And Tara is far from canine in any sense of the word. 😡
Moggy
But not as bad as:
“I see that girl who played Cathy Gale in ‘The Avengers’ has croaked.”
“Honor Blackman….?”
“No, on a motorcycle actually….”

I first saw “Dark Blue World” at a showing in the old Astra cinema at Duxford. It was really atmospheric and a fitting place to watch it. The icing on the cake was that Tara (steady on Moggie) came to Duxford to do some publicity shots and a flight with Classic Wings. I was lucky enough to have a chat with her and she was absolutely charming. She was very interested in Duxford and it’s place in RAF history.

Thanks for the offer Mightyelf but it’s now on order from Amazon. I was working at the BFI when it was first shown but didn’t get a chance to see it.:)

An absolute awesome film, lots of excellent floor room rejects from the BoB film that are as good as anything you see in the BoB film. Tara F was not paid I believe or waived her fee.
The budget for the whole film was less than the cost of the Pearl harbor opening party.
DBW has amazing story, humour, sadness and the art and depth that only Czech films can, besides it tells the story of some completely unsung heroes.

Started to watch Dark Blue World on Netflix the other night and could not find an ‘English’ version just Czech with sub titles. Silly question but was the film released in English ?
The only English dialogue is when they are talking to the British in England oddly enough. 😛 The rest of the time it’s in Czech with subtitles.

It made me think of this movie:
Not a Spitfire to be seen in this one though…

Dark Blue World is worth buying for Tara alone! :diablo:
However, there is plenty Spitfire porn in it, too.

Mmmmmm. Tara 😮
Remember the Camomile Lawn…..;) Much to admire in her performance….. she has a certain something….. I think (if its your thing) she is in the next series of Game Of Thrones.

Tara Fitzgerald
(To which the only proper response is ‘Does she indeed?’)
