Hi Folks,
Just in the door from the Dublin meet with T5 and A330 Crazy, just going out again to shoot more piccies of a band. Here’s a couple from today, a full report and pictures later…

Oh I hate to rub it in Allen , but I had the pleasure of the jumpseat DUB/GWY/DUB as the Captain’s guest (my friend!) on an Aer Arann ATR42 – it’s a noisy, but lovely aircraft. I also jumpseated BHD/PIK a few years ago when I was a Gill Airways employee. I was travelling stand-by NCL/BHD/PIK and was to be ‘bumped’ in BHD as the flight was full from BHD/PIK (there were 9 seats free before I left NCL that day, incidentally!!!) and then the hostie asked “I don’t suppose you’d like to sit in the jumpseat?” – I politely accepted so as not to cause a scene and expressed my elation loudly as a huge scream inside my head!! YIPPEEE!!!:D

Eric, how far is Portmanock from Rush ? I remember standing on the beach at Rush as a kid watching planes on finals to Dublin.

Great pictures everyone and great reports. I always thought that the symbol on the tail was a harp, until quite recently I was told that it was an angles of some sort. Knowing that, I still think it looks like a harp! I’ll have to try and come along to the next meet which involves flying, this one was just quite difficult because there was a possibility of me going to Australia this week.

hehe, i know y have they inhances them??? is the Ryanair logo supposed to be a flying lady or is it supposed to be a harp?
or is it for us to decide ?:D
i think the harp would make more sence as its irish, but the flying lady looks better, you can notice the difference in this monthe airliner world, http://www.airliners.net/open.file/338288/L/ this pic is of the old tail, the new tail is more embossed?? an as A330crazy said, looks like ”bigger boobs” http://www.airliners.net/open.file/507870/L/

Some other European operators where around including AIr Luxor, Alitalia and Lufthansa…

I’m guessing by the logo towards the rear that this is one on the new 738’s based at PIK ?

The cargo area was quite busy, with a number of A300’s for various operators including this TNT one…
