The end for G-AMRA ?

Possibly breaking news that one of the UK’s pioneering Dakota aircraft last known to be with Air Atlantique as G-AMRA may have reached the end of its flying life.  The aircraft was sold to an owner in Germany with the intention of keeping it flying, but for reasons not yet divulged, now appears to be destined to be a museum exhibit.  Perhaps it is now time for her to have a well deserved retirement as it has certainly served the UK commercial aviation sector above and beyond maybe any other Dakota.

I remember her at Gatwick, in the sixties and early seventies, operating for Mortons/BUIA/BIA.

I saw the photos of her being dismantled for moving recently on a DC-3 Facebook group. It is a shame as i believe she was one of the few Daks up to current Mod status for fare paying flights.
