The F-7 Cutlass was said to have impressive capabilities and performance during flight, but also underpowered engines and crashes due to its long nose leg placed underneath the ejection seat.
There was an image some time ago of an “F-7D Cutlass” aboard the USS Coral Sea circa 1970 with J79 engines and a nose leg from an A-6 Intruder which in reality would solve these issues.
