Er…no! This is a discussion forum on the Keys Publishing website! The other forums are aviation forums – and they have generated the overwelming majority of members – but Key also publishes Bowls International and it is not beyond the realms of fantasy to suppose that we could be sharing an arguement with someone who enjoys the sport of pensioners…;)

I joined here in late 1998 early 1999. You didnt even need to register back then on the forums. We just used to have 2-3 posts per week. Even the Webmaster wasent there back then. Some faint names i remember from there are V1 and PhilB.

No I am not that old on the forum. I have been around for a while but was certainly not the first one. Half the members on these forums are from january 1st 2000.

I first joined in fall of 2000 and the guys here were talking about how the forum got nuked and all the original posts were lost. So you may never find out about the original posts here. I will say the quality of posts here in late 2000 was very high. There were alot of active AF pilots and other industry experts. Now its just us armchair generals.

I joined either late 2000 or early 2001, but they changed the whole forum thing and therefore everyone had the same date. I was however originally called W_A_S_P_I_E

The whole site was changed somehow a while back, consequently the dates were reset. I can’t recall when I first joined, but my first post was on what aircraft i wanted to see or something. My first proper effort was posting pictures of the recovery of the Harrier that went down in the Lowestoft airshow.

I really don’ t remember, but I to have been here a long time, I think somewhere in the summer of 1999 but it might have been earlier then thar.

If you look into it – as I did above – anybody who joined before 28/2/2003 has a joining date of /1/1/2000. with the exception of the Webmaster.
As you say it is screwed up – amongst the oldest apparent members are Hellaids V4 and V5!:rolleyes: Work that one out!
