We have all seen the North Korean army doing the goose-step. Iraq’s Republican Guard sometimes does the ‘prance’ (kids do it when they need to go to the bathroom except they hold their crotches, not guns). During world war II the Germans goose-stepped around Europe and the Italians copied them. It would appear the more deranged the leadership the more idiotic the march. Currently it’s a toss-up between NK and Iraq as to which look the most moronic.

Spanish “legion” (the equivalent the Green bonnets for instance), march like this too.

RE: The goose step
Chile and Argentina also did the goose step during their dictatorial years. The Chileans looked extremely eerie, because (at least still during the Pinochet years) they used the German helmets with their parade uniforms… Buuuuh!

Kev
At least the world isn’t concerned about the Greeks.
I agree that the North Korean marching style is just too close to that of Nazi Germany for comfort. Get a ratbag leadership and march like you’re going to step over everyone.

RE: The goose step
I don’t know. Those Greek ceremonial guards might take a bit of beating.
