Thanks
Hehe 😀
Glad to be of service. Spread the word and soon the world will be covered in the lovely black gunge!!!
Actually I had no idea that Marmite was sold anywhere apart from the UK. Here’s another question for everyone, is marmite sold in your home country??

A slur on the good name of Marmite!!!
Apparently there was a plan to use marmite to stop violence in the middle east.
It was thought that there was a lack of zinc in the diet of people living in Israel and its neighbouring countries, and a lack of zinc in the diet makes sufferers more aggressive. So, why not send a consignment of zinc rich marmite to supplement their diets and bring peace and harmony to the region??????
It was an ammusing thought as i enjoyed my marmite on toast this morning.
marmite hardened warheads….just what the middle east needs to throw at each other 😉 😀

That is a common misconception:
There is more salt in the butter and bread of a slice of toast than the marmite you spread on it, wisdom courtesy of the marmite website.

should I dare to put a bit on some toast? With salted butter or unsalted butter? I like Guinness (a lot!!), but will I like Marmite
Tillerman.
Read the label there is enough salt in Marmite to feed a regiment of soldiers

I’m curious now. And a bit afraid. Should I go out and try to find a jar of Marmite? And if I find one, should I dare to put a bit on some toast? With salted butter or unsalted butter? I like Guinness (a lot!!), but will I like Marmite?
First step is: check if it is available over here, as I’ve never noticed it on the shelves. But when I find it I will take this next big step for mankind and TRY IT!!
Tillerman.

MMMMmmmm…Marmite…..
Me…I love it. Its about all I eat at the moment.
My favourite Marmite combo is a nice crusty piece of toast with a thin spread of butter, then Marmite and topped off with crunchy peanut butter….LUVLY….has a sort of dry roasted peanut taste…but stronger.
Cheese and Marmite sarnies a good too!
Vegemite…Nah…the weak elbowed cousin of Marmite. A pale imitation. I always thought our Aussie friends were a hardy bunch….until I tasted Vegemite. Get the real stuff down your necks….
I’m getting hungry now….where’s the toaster.
Steve.

My girlfriend loves Marmite spread thickly on toast, covered with cheese and then melted.
Then she eats it and we sleep in separate Counties.

Gentlemen and Ladies,
The taste of Marmite can be likened to Guinness and Branston Pickle. None can be defined in words. You have to taste first and you either like it or you must keep tasting until you have developed the tase buds, then you will tell everybody there ids nothing that can hold a candle to it.
Back to my next test batch of Liffey water.

I never heard of marmite before… can you name a compareable flavour?
Axle grease….the great Aussie breakfast spread here is Vegemite…there’s 3380 mg of salt per 100g….you can feel your arteries hardening as you spread it on your toast!

Gary, you perv ! :diablo: …
Guilty as charged – oh you mean about Twiglets.. 😀
How on earth can you enjoy those tooth-breaking, indigestion causing packs (or tins) of nastiness ???
That’s TWO of you keeping this awful product in business – Shame on you
I never said I brought the things (and no I don’t steal them instead) – I just said I like them…
Dave I’m with you the smell is enough to turn me. My ex-wife likes Marmite as do my kids (I think. I never have the stuff in the house so I can’t remember if they do or not).
Horrid stuff. Satan’s own food!!! 😀 😀 😀
