Cant say I’ve photographed one of these monsters before so it was good to make the most of the moment. The sheer size of the aircraft started to make everything around it look small in comparison and compared to the daily cessna variety around this thing looked like it had been left in the greenhouse on steroids a little too long:eek::).
I have tried to highlight the scale by using the arrival of the Colibri helicopter a runabout used by Saxon. So with some visitors and the odd regulars plus one special home build that cant go unmentioned. This was spotted with the arrival of a pair of Glasair kit planes and one in particular G-BMIO which had set a world record in may 2005 setting a speed of a piston engined type of 207.6 Mph from lands end to John O Groats.Crewed by two disabled people John de Frayssniet(pilot)and jennifer Ayres(navigator) complete with the charity passenger “go bear”:)….
