Thanks folks.
The photos would have been in three consecutive lumps but work got in the way. 😀
The Museum is at Locking/Weston-super-Mare.
Link to their website – http://www.helicoptermuseum.co.uk/
I have a couple more photos of one or two other exhibits – I’ll stick them up tomorrow.

Great photo’s – thanks for sharing them.
I’d love to see a few airworthy Scouts or Wasps. We had loads of them didn’t we? Surely it can’t be _that_ hard. 🙁
Roy.
Kennet has 2 Wasps, and sold their Scout to Nigeria.
There have been a few advertised for sale recently, they go for between £75-100k for an airworthy one.
The subject of the difficulty/costs of getting a Wessex into the air has been discussed before, but to summarise:
Good pictures by the way, whereabouts is the Heli museum?

Costs, mostly. Eggbeaters are costlier than fixed wing machines to maintain and fly. And for the most part there’s less interest in them – a few people have put older helicopters back in the air but have struggled to get airshow bookings.

Hi,
Question: is this the worlds biggest collection of helicopters?
Moan: why can’t we see we see more airworthy vihnatge choppers – especially a Wessex.
Steve
PS. Love the photos!
