Thank you for the invite.
On behalf of the four pilots who flew into Kenley for the salute, Rob Woolard in L4 Cub, Pete Greenyer in the Civilian Coupe, Tony Habgood in the Curtis-Wright Travelair 12Q/W and myself John Swinnerton in the Miles Messenger, I would like to thank everyone involved for inviting us in to participate in such a very special occasion. I hope we did our bit to make the day one to be remembered by all who came.
I have only just found the website so appologies for the delay.
All the best.

There’s two of my old pistons in that engine!
Thought you were walking funny.

Thanks Gary. AFAIK, the Travel Air has the same owner as the Civilian Coupe, and is also based at Biggin Hill.

Glad you liked them Anna,
Its a shame Kenley never managed to attract a warbird. Unfortunately events without a Warbird in attendence never appear to generate much interest with enthusiasts these days.

It certainly had a big turnout, I don’t think they counted on so many people, the catering brought back memories of Abingdon 😀 Anna 😀

The Coupe, Travelair, Grasshopper and Messenger all came from Shipping & Airlines Ltd based at Biggin Hill airport. Further info was in the airshow programme.

Just for you Mike, a few more of the Civilian Coupe and Travel Air.
The Coupe would feel extremely welcome at OW, just the right mix of pram wheels and struts! (PS.It is the sole survivor of the type too)
Do you know where the Travel Air is based.
