That I have to ID before this blessed Whirlwind cockpit can be finished (Well the gauges at least…)
Any ideas, they need to be positively identified with a clear photo/drawing if you have one please…
The two fuel gauges, how would they be calibrated for a 67 Gallon capacity each? 70Gallons or would they be for exactly 67Gallons, I only ask as i’ve seen some of 62Gallons Capacity?
The nearest i’ve come to the 40v Voltmeter is this one…

But it’s not the same as the one in the Whirly, how many makes used this type of facia?
Thanks in advance for any info…
Regards

Whirlwind IPB
If you are in or near London you could pop along to the RAF museum and look up the reference numbers for the instruments. They may even send you copies of the relevant pages if you were to ask nicely.

Many thanks to you both, now I have something to work with… 😉
I had a go at enhancing the fuel gauge a bit and came up with this…

So, it looks like 0, 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 67
Would you agree?

Use the voltmeter photo you have.
Base the fuel gauge on this example and items 44 and 99 on this pressure gauge.

Hello
I have a 75 Gallon fuel gauge in the vampire FB.5.
Contact Bruce Gordon on this forum, as I have seen same/similar in his store.
