The production prototype of the Scottish Aviation Bulldog G-AXIG, was owned by the late Duke of Hamilton, his widow decided to donate the aircraft so that it can be displayed in memory of her late husband.
The aircraft left its base at Archerfield on Wednesday morning for the short flight to East Fortune, where it will be dismantled for eventual reassembly inside the Royal Scottish Museum, Chambers Street Edinburgh.
