The Last Last Leuchars Air Show 2013 (Morning Static)

I have kept away from the Key Publishing forum, getting on for four months now. This was mainly down to tired old threads still being thrashed out and basically I got bored…

Anyway, in reality I wasn’t going to be gone too long before some aviation event had me talking again on here! Unfortunately, the subject matter for my return is RAF Leuchars. A base that I have been personally going to for over 23 years and a one very firmly close to my heart. By the end of 2014, no more fast jet squadrons will be based at Leuchars and the base will then transition over to the Army by 2015.

Below are ‘some’ of my photo’s taken at the last public air show at Leuchars. This will then be followed by flying shots and evening static display photo’s (When Joe public doesn’t wander in front of your lens when you’re trying patiently to take your shot)!
