Anyway all the family must be mightily relieved with the news – it’s always worse for them, I think in these situations.

Well guys and Anne, and even that Mod…Whatshis name???/ Ah, Moggy, I drove all the way to Addenbrooks today, the Surgeons Clinic was running 2 hrs behind.
I had to have a Duplex scan, which is a posh name for an ultrasound scan, and the results were passed to the surgeon, prior to him seeing me. It seemed ages before he came in, but he was the bearer of good news, as the Op was a success, and the scan showed the anuarism, (Spelling carp) had shrunk from it’s original 9cms down to 6.1.He stated that I was at least a month in front of where I should be for an ole git of my age. So you lot, unfortunately, I will be Posting on the Forum for the forseeable future.

Once again thanks for all of your support. I just wish we could all meet up, and I could buy you all a Pint.

You couldn’t possibly be insinuating that the good people on here would stoop to inuendo, or even consider a little gentle leg pulling.

I wouldn’t pull his leg, the glue holding all his plumbing together might come undone… Unless they stapled him, because i cannot see the NHS using stitches, far to expensive.

Remember little steps, otherwise you’ll be shedding suppositories all over the place.

Hospitals might not take your stick back, my mum had a fleet of Zimmers provided by them, one every visit! and they refused them, down to if one fails they can be sued, but if new they can shuffle it onto the manufacturer, we donated the ones we had to some charity at home that reuses these types of things.
You can always keep it to go with your future Victor Meldrum look.

Gil, This lot of reprobates on here can stoop so low, they could slide under the belly of a snake, without touching it.But in all honesty, when I was at my lowest, the remarks these lads made on here, and when Gary, (Trumper) visited me, and showed me what had been said, I am in no doubt whatsoever it helped no end, in my recovery.

Yesterday, My wife and I went to Kings Lynn, it was my first venture out, and I must admit, I felt every bump/ripple in the road.I try and set myself a target each day, yesterday, it was going into the garage and seeing if my car would start, not having been used for several weeks, pleased to say she fired up O.K.
Then, off to K/Lynn in my wifes car, had I known it was to take a “Top” of hers back to M&S, I perhaps would have stayed at home, but there are plenty of seats dotted around, so I sat down whilst she shopped . I took a walking stick with me, which the Hospital Physio gave me when I was discharged, and which helped a lot in walking. I can’t wait to take it back, and move under my own steam again. I must admit, I do like a Subway, and their fillings, and that was another target, don’t sound much, but by the time we arrived at the Subway, I felt as if I had earned it :D. Like I said on another Thread, it’s the simple things in life that mean the most.
Guess we all take things for granted at times, until, T.S.H.T.F.

Now, I realise that Jim’s had his body pulled about, a bit, but, come on, surely they didn’t twist things around that much?

It’s amazing what you can achieve after even a short stay in an NHS hospital these days….and for those kind enough to express concern over my own mini-hospitalisation and tests I heard today that I have the all clear for a year, subject to regular blood tests, so thank you for your kind thoughts.:) Linc, they haven’t beaten us yet!!:eagerness:

Hi Geoff, Jims fine by me. Trumper, who came to visit me several times, printed off for me, quite a shed load of good wishes which you guys had posted on the Forum, and one was I believe, your Hattie one. It did raise a smile I must admit, I wanted to laugh, as I had seen the film, but dare not, as I didn’t wish to burst any internal stitches.Thanks.
