The Mig and Su merger ….can it ever hapend????

The russian Df has had talks about Mig and Su mergers since 95 when it first became apparent that two companies compeating would not have same affect and productivity as they did in USSR due to lack of funding and majority of former cusstomer going due West now. It was inevetable that one manifacturer would run in troubles and in deed it was MiG who struck hard ground. It 29 fighter it only major export plane became to lag behing more powerfull Su27 which outpreformed the 29 in almost everything. But during the USSR the sale of Su was alowed to vietnam and china to my knowlege. However in last teb years The Su 27 already more powerfull became to evolve with flanker series incl su30 35 which are proving very attractive to more and more AF. India and china getting the bulk of export in last 5 years. The Mig has been strugling , they lost number of contracts including 60 planes for indian NAVY..its advanced variants of 29 sniper and SMT will perhaps bridge a gap with 27..but 30 and 35 are still ahead..so mig has been in financil trouble surviving only of upgrades and parts sale. Its workers didnot recive full pay since march 2000 and from some sources no pay what so ever since Octobar. The su on other hand had much more succes and its workers are payed wery well compared to the rest of country.

Now as i said there was lots of reacket about it, but never until now was there a writen plan of propousal. Is it suposedly to involve Su Mig and Yak design bureu one more company in deep merde..pardon the expression. The early reports suggest the YAK and MiG might be more willing than Su which is s=instead suggesting that three companies join forces in production of russias fifth generation fighter. Something that would bring shared funds and a good product. In my oppinon this would be the best idea Both Su and Mig have learned qite a bit with their experimentl programs as MFI and S37 berkut. One Unelatural opperation holds a lot of promise ..atleast on paper.

Anyway what do resto of you think..a possibility or pointless racket?
