The Mighty B-17s

Just an ole thought from Polebrook, England. A tribute to the daylight and nightime bombers flying the B-17s. God Bless them all and hope they rest in peace. Frealon Ed Thomas, Jr. Son of the Eight Air Force.

Lots of remembrance displays in the pubs eh! How convenient, I bet the aircrews would have approved too!

Think i will have to call in to see a few of those when I am next up your way Moggy.

Can you recommend a few? or is your list too long for this forum?

The 8th are recalled fondly here in East Anglia. Many villages have some form of remembrance, often in the pub.

That’s why I call into nearly every one – honest.

Are you on your way to The Eagle, in Cambridge yet?

Moggy

Don’t forget the B24s though. They also served.
