The stats on this engine are mighty impressive. What a beast.

Would it be fair to say that this was probably the best turbojet manufactured for a fighter jet? Were there any throttle issues concerning carefree usage? What were the TBO and SFC figures of this engine? When compared to the J-79 or Atar on the raw figures above, it simply outshines them. A similarly sized engine with massive amounts of power.
Please, no “my one’s longer than yours” type flames. I always wondered what an F-104 would do with this brute. :diablo:
