http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morotai_Mutiny
I was just having my lunchtime browse of the WWW and this was on the “this day in history” on Wikipedia and I thought some members may be interested in the details of a group of RAAF officers who tendered their resignations in protest at what they saw as pointless missions on the Pacific late in WW2.

Gooday All
Read the wiki article with interest as one of my aeroplanes (an Auster) was own and flown by Wing Commander and ace Bobby Gibbs. Gibbs went on to play an important role in the development of aviation in Papua New Guinea.
I have a couple of friends who knew Bobby Gibbs and they said be was a real character and enjoyed a good joke.
cheers

Fascinating account. I recall reading of a mutiny of the Royal Navy that took place at Invergordon and that only finished due to the visit of an unidentified member of the Royal Family .
