Okay, here are the rules.
I post a quote from a movie.
Somebody guesses the movie and posts another quote, and so on.
Lets try and keep this thread alive as it could be quite fun! 🙂
Movie quote:
“You can teach monkeys to fly better than that!”

RE: The movie quote game!
Seeing as everyone seems to have given up, here’s the answers to my quote.
“Blessed be the Lord our God who teaches my fingers to fight and my hands to war.”
It was said by the sniper in Saving Private Ryan and the other occasion I have seen it in a film it was said by General Robert E Lee in Gettysburg. In the second film I asked for the name of this characters horses and they were called Lucy and Traveller.

RE: The movie quote game!
“Fly casual.”
Return of the Jedi… Han Solo to Chewbaca
“I’m glad to see that drinking is not a problem.”
The Great Waldo Pepper… Character talking about an obviously drunk Robert Redford.
“Who are those guys?”
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid… Butch refering to the posse chasing them.
“Don’t touch it! Its evil!”
Time Bandits… The final line in the movie.

RE: The movie quote game!
“Who are those guys?” sounds like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid, still working in the others

RE: The movie quote game!
“For a bonus point – Humphrey Lestocq, who played Flt Lieutenant ‘Batchy’ Salter in Angels One Five, flew what aircraft with which squadron during the war. What was his surname (and if you can tell me his first name, oh boy I’ll be pleased!!!). He crashed twice, never flew with them operationally, was ex-army, and got ‘sacked’ by the CO.
Actually, you get two points for this!”
Shame on you!!!!!!
609 (West Riding) Squadron of course! Do I EVER sully my lips with others? LOL. Pilot Officer J L Gilbert. Was Mr Turnip too. At the same OTU as Roy Payne and Peter Raw (also ex army types) Flew Typhoons, after a fashion! Crashed two. Wasn’t a very good pilot apparently. He joined under Paul Richey and ‘left’ under Roland ‘Bee’ Beamont (who nearly sacked Johnny Baldwin too I hear). Can’t recall where he went after – I think it was North Africa.

RE: The movie quote game!
Sparky,
Right again!
“1) Have you ever been liberated?”
I’ve been divorced twice, does that count? Yes that counts.
2) ‘When you refer to Bailey crap I take it you mean that glorious precision made british built bridge which is the envy of the civilised world'”
Michael Caine as Joe or Giles Vandeleur and Elliot Gould as an American Airborne Officer. The scene is the liberation of Eindhoven and the film is ‘A Bridge too far.’
Try this. This quote has appeared in two slightly different versions in two films in the last ten years.
“Blessed be the Lord our God which teaches my fingers to fight and my hands to war.”
For a bonus, in the one scene the gentleman who utters those words moves on to talk to his horses. What are their names?

Top Gun?
Try this, it’s from the sixties.
“There’s more, I feel ashamed.”
“You have to be alive to feel ashamed.”
“You asked me, so I told you. Was it like this for you, the first time?”
“The first time? Do you think I could stand this butchers yard more than once?”
