Hi All,
As a couple of you may know, myself and Adam Spalding had a mad three days at MAN over the weekend with a hotel booked for Saturday and Sunday nights, allowing us to have two nice early starts shooting aircraft and spend the evenings enjoying an odd drink or three. For some bizarre reason even though this is Part 1, I’m starting with the last day’s shots (today). The rest will be added in new threads as and when I get round to editing them.
Adam’s shots will no doubt shortly, but for the moment here’s part 1 of three from me. I hope you like them!

Is it me, or does it look like there is a rather large dent in the fuselage at the front of this aircraft, just to the right of the cockpit window???
Some superb shots there Paul, my personal favourite is the first bmi one; it looks like a monster; bearing down on you with a menancing look…!
Although it is of poorer quality than the others, the shot which compares the size of the 747 and Embraer jet is actually quite amazing as well…it really does go to show how big some aircraft really are, and you could not of got two better aircraft in my opinion! Very well done indeed.
Just two questions about the picture of you provided by A Spalding,…how far away from the edge of the runway are you in this shot? I see no fencing or blockade between you and the runway, so where exactly were you?
I see what you mean about the dent, but it just looks like a paint effect to me?
As for the fence, it looks like they were standing on a hill, and the fence was below in front of them perhaps?
Great shots
James

I might be wrong, but it doesn’t look like there is a dent to me.

….That Air Berlin looks very much like a A319 (Can anyone please prove me wrong)….
I’m afraid no-one can.
D-ABGF is, indeed, an A319-111 (c/n 3188). 😎

Mr Nichols (Ted)
Where do i start! I have many things to comment about this post.
1. It wasnt 3 beers but a few more than that! Was good that we didnt end up with airport property back at the hotel.
2. The suspension survived, although only just with the weight of your damn camera bag!!
3. That Air Berlin looks very much like a A319 (Can anyone please prove me wrong)
4. The Chav City Direct is my favourite picture
5. Thank you for a brilliant weekend and i am looking forward to doing it again.
Finally, a professional at work

All the best mate
Adam
