Hi All,
I don’t know what to say… Exactly a month late! Disgraceful! Here’s the first day of mine and Adam’s weekend at MAN last month. These were taken on the 21st July, I forgot to add that to the thread title!
When we arrived:

And a few hours later!

It was a nice surprise to see this girl!

Adam and Sam (Northern_Git) are the two guys in the middle of the mound!

This one’s for Jonezi! 🙂

All the shots i see from Manchester seem to put the viewing area reasonably close to the runways..is this a fact or is just an optical illusion
It’s a fact, Steve. 🙂

You were in a publicly accessible place, I didn’t need it. :p
Thanks again, all!

Oh and the MYT A330 shot – Did you get the permission from myself and Northern_Git to post that shot? 😉

Ted
What a coincidence, I was at MAN that day also, although running a few hours late due to the floods in the south of the country.

Lance, Ted – I remember that landing too 😀

Just out of interest, which 747 was it that you managed to get that lovely shot of at the end? Do you mind if I use that last image as a background image for my PC?
It was Cathay Pacific Cargo’s B-HMF, and by all means feel free to use it as your background image! Let me know if you want a higher resolution version of it and I’ll email one over.
Thanks again for your kind words, guys. Very much appreciated. 🙂

All of those are simply stunning shots, Paul.
First two and last one are my favourites.

Is/was the Omni DC10 covering for MyTravel still/again?
It was in at LGW today (22/08/07)!:D

2 questions…
What’s the ‘talking telescope’ ? and what’s that little open panel on the DC-10 as it rotates… ?
I’ve used the talking telescope as a camera rest, that’s about it!
As for the open panel, I’d guess it’s the cabin pressure outflow valve.
Lance… That landing certainly was interesting! 🙂

At what times did you take the 1st two shots?
According to the EXIF data, the first was taken at 08:42 and the second at 17:55. It was the first time I’ve ever seen T2 completely empty. A very odd sight indeed!
Thanks for your kind words so far, guys! 🙂

Really very nice shots Paul! I like the 1st shot, and the side-on 757 shots are cool to! At what times did you take the 1st two shots?

I’ve never seen a picture of T2 empty like that before!
Really nice shots.:)

Didn’t think it was possible for MAN to be that empty in the second shot :diablo: , fantastic selection though Paul :D.
