i recently went on a trip to South Lakes Wild Animal Park and it was a great experience, a lot of effort has gone into keeping a degree of naturallity for the wildlife there, some of the shots from my trip, you could even feed some of the animals 🙂 there is also a gift package where you can become a keeper for the day, rather interesting talking to the guy who was doing it on the day, he got to assist in feeding the lions, tigers, lemurs etc
anyway, enjoy, and apologies if theres already a photo thread, i searched and cudnt find it

think this poor little fella ate too much

I don’t know, but they do provide their own meat to feed the cats anyway so there’s no real need 😉

Black Spout and dam at Pitlochry
Bit of rain up here in Scotland in recent weeks ( just for a change lol). Photos taken in Pitlochry where the dam was in full flow. Walking across it we could really feel the force of the water being churned through yet the loch on the other side was calm as a millpond.

We then walked/climbed up to the wonderfully named Black Spout waterfall. A bit tricky to find at first but well worth the walk.

Hi All,
One day when I am mobile again I will visit one of the Sanctuarys that are lovingly rehabilitating these beautiful raptors.

Here you go –

It does say that participants have to be over 14. But others are allowed to spectate, they can hardly stop you, it’s mostly well on the public areas of the zoo anyway.
And they really are big cats!
I can’t over emphasise how good the staff were. The keeper allotted to Mrs Moggy was so anxious that she got maximum value from her experience. Can’t praise them enough.

he got to assist in feeding the lions, tigers, lemurs etc.
I bought Mrs Moggy a ‘Big Cat Feeding Experience’ at Banham Zoo in Suffolk.
As a present it was an astonishing success, she still talks about it, months later.
Took about two and a half hours and included Tigers, Snow Leopards, Cheetahs and others.
