Someone on this art forum is doing a painting of the The Noorduyn Norseman:- Asia WWII and would appreciate any photos or advice please.I will link this page to his .

At least 2 powered a/c manufacturers produced a training glider by removing the engine and replacing it with self loading ballast 😀 (Aeronca and Piper)

Looks like the glider is a trainer and maybe something similar to an Aeronca TG5

The illustrated history of the 1st Air Commando Group published in the US (By Schiffer) has some photos of their Norsemen with the five white stripes and question mark insignia. Also, suggest the artist check the antennas, as some of this units’ aircraft had British radios fitted as well.
