It’s been some time since we had such a funny built your AF thread.
So what about this: It’s 1973, you graduated from college in England, and now nearly your whole family died in an accident. The point is, your uncle was the emporer of Persia, and now you are in charge. After 2 years of modernizing the country, the people adore you, the economy is running, and now it’s up to you to convert Persia into a local superpower. Thanks to your petrodollars, nearly everyone is eager to get you as ally. So you can get everything you want.
My Airforce would look as following:
-Sikorsky S-67 Blackhawk Attack Helicopters, locally assembled in two
variants for the Navy and the Army
-Grumman F-14 as highend fighter
-MiG-23 as light fighter
-MiG-27 for ground attack
-Saab SK 61 Basic Trainer
-Aero Vodochody L-39C/ZA as Jetrainer
-Tu-26B for maritime patrols and strike
-An-72 as light transport
-C-130 as medium transport plane
-Sa-316B Alouette III as utility helicopter and for pilot training
