A great American and former flying Tiger passes away here in America, wrote “God Is My Co-pilot”. Had some life and military career and real student of air power and advocate of creating a seperate branch of the service for the Air Force. An ace as well in the PTO with the Tigers & later 14th airforce !

Not only was General Scott a real life hero of WWII, but by all accounts avery good and nice man.
Like hundreds (thousands?) of others, he signed my copy of his book.

FlyPast readers will be interested to note in his later years he was a key supporter of the excellent museum at Warner-Robins AFB…perhaps second only to the NMUSAF in quality of facilities and aircraft on display…of any USAF base museum.

RIP, Sir.
