The perfect home for a (rich) aviation enthusiast?

Anyone got £775,000 to spare?

Looking at those satellite views, it appears you might at least have a bit of original peri track to walk the dog along, not far from your back door. Hostile landowners permitting of course.

The runways have all been reduced in size and the road runs along the route of one of them. Hangers are all in various business uses, and farmers rule the rest. There is plenty to see if you are willing to search, but years ago, one landowner was extremely hostile to any aviation historian even asking about the airfield!

Was also going to add, a little bit of runway would be desirable, but I think that hope has vanished?

During that time period, I took Ed Maloney and others from Planes of Fame there. We had been round Debden, Nuthampsted, Bassingbourn, and Steeple Morden before arriving at Hadstock/Little Walden. It was late on a Friday afternoon, the arrivals day for Flying Legends. He had come over with Steve Hinton and the rest of the gang for the show. Whilst standing on the roof, admiring the view and pointing out where various parts of the airfield used to be during the war, the Dutch B25 did a spirited flyby over us-just!!
Like most people, I would love to live there, but I can remember when the local council were very reluctant to change it’s use from business to residential. I asked a few times, but was always told it would not happen. Times change, but £775.000 is a bit much really. If a part of the airfield was included……..!!!

It was an architects office in the 90’s. I have the sales brochure when they put it up for sale at £250,000.

It is a really well done conversion, I would give my right arm, back teeth and a kidney to be able to own that!
