Before I’m accused of being a “smart Alec”, but for the sake of accuracy, G-APZV (which became the prototype HS 780 Andover G-ARRV) was the prototype Avro 748. G-ARAY, mentioned in this thread, was the first production 748. A sad affair nonetheless.

In the video in the first post, at around 33 seconds, theres a picture of a man, and in the background there is a BAC1-11 with a blue and white striped tail, what airline did that belong to and does anyone have a reg? I’ve just never seen that livery before.

Slight thread drift and I kinow this is only being shown in East Anglia but should be available on Iplayer soon. Should be more interesting than seeing old airliners brooken up, I hope. Monday 19th November 7:30pm
