Im a huge Airbus fan and I do have to admit I prefer the 747. Overall I prefer Boeing’s Long Haul feleet than Airbus.

the 747 is a queen alright………the a380 looks like a pot-bellied munter on the ground but in the air i think it’ll be quite nice, i cant really see very much between them in terms of style and grace.

even the most ardent photographer would stop to watch Concorde depart or land – how many do that for any other civil aircraft. The A380 will do that for a while until people are used to it as I am sure people did with the 747.

Of course… the 747 has reigned the skies for years! 😀

And well the Concorde was in its own league.

They said the same about the 747 when it was introduced back in the late sixties, it’s ugly and it’s nowhere near as graceful as the 707

I think the word you’re searching for is “utilitarian”…… 😉

To be fair, I remember hearing similar sentiments in connection with the B747 when I was but a wee nipper. 🙂

You’d be surprised.

Heard plenty Airbus fans call the 747 ugly and A380- super sleek 😮

But its an ugly monster!!!! (I mena the A380). Maybe I need to wait for more pics on a.net before I decide then, maybe they’ve seen it in a light I ahven’t (maybe pitch black??). I’m not worried either way between Boeing and Airbus, but there is no getting away from it, it is UGLY!
