The 747 has been a truely amazing aircraft , through the development of the jet and the outstanding speed in which it was developed to the revenue it generated to customers and to the Freight industry that it basically created !! With 47 (44 for freighter) orders in less then a year of its launch the Freighter looks strong to serve the Industry for many many more years to come !!
What prompted me to start this thread was just to admire the beauty of the aircraft and i felt so after looking at the boeing CG of the -8F in Emirate cargo’s colors !! There sure wont be anything that looks like this for many many years !!

Both the 747-8 and A388 will be QC-2 compatible !!

I don’t doubt any of those facts. Was just implying that it will take the non-aeronautically minded Joe Public to make a reasonably fair comparison of both these specific types 🙂

We allready know the Decibal levels for both these birds , and as far as them being COMFORTABLE , Wanna bet how long it would take for atleast a couple of airlines to stuff passengers in both of these aircrafts ?? Both still offer relativly low Humidity levels , 8000 and 7000Ft for cabin pressure etc etc As far as comfort levels and sound levels are concerned the 787 and 350 would offer much much more !

yeah, i would say that now based on personal opinions. but i dont think they can be judged in that manner until any of us has flown in one! they might be the quietest, most spacious, ergonomic, user friendly commercial jet out there :rolleyes:

It is a very attractive design, would beat the A380 in a beauty pageant any day! I especially like the (what seams to be) more prominent winglets compared to the 773

Most likely not because it is a very very niche market indeed !! The A380 in itself hasnt sold that many and it offers far greater expandability !
