I’d never noticed the ranks to be honest. Maybe I don’t have enough posts yet, only been on here 12 years;)

The only salute I get is either 1 or 2 fingers Paul.
The ‘up yours rigger’ was said to me by a sparky where I work – obviously paraphrasing a famous cowboy film quote 🙂
I am an airframe fitter/technician -the trade being AKA ‘Rigger’ in the RAF.
The engine guys were ‘Sooties’ or ‘Sumpies’…
The nicknames for electricians/fairies etc were often unrepeatable 😀

Rank does not bother me as long as I don’t end up in the glasshouse at Colchester:eek:

ive been promoted recently also in the same way but no medals yet for actions beyond the call of duty 😀
