The re-cycled airliner.

Here is a selection of re-cycled planes with a life beyond that envisaged by their original designers including 747’s, 727, KC-97, IL18 and B.307.

Could bring a whole new meaning to the term “mobile home ” !

Just thinking of all those WW2 aircraft and gliders that ended up as homes, garages and sheds , wondering what other uses could be found for some of these modern day bone-yard occupants !

I think I shall try for a stay in the Sweden Jumbo Hostel in Arlanda

I think I shall try for a stay in the Sweden Jumbo Hostel in Arlanda Stockholm

There was an oldie (very old) titled “Asleep at the wheel).

A stay in the Sweden Jumbo Hostel in the cockpit would add a whole new dimension to “Asleep at the stick” or ” A variation on theme of auto pilot”

Thanks for posting Newforest

To quote the article: “This Ilyushin 18 plane, built in 1960, was originally used by the Dutch government to transport officials. Three decades later, it began serving as a restaurant. It stayed in the food business until Hotelsuites.nl, which must have been impressed with its resume, acquired it in 2007. “

Good ‘ol fact checking at work! The plane even still has its original East German registration (you know, the one saying DDR) to further complicate life for the writers of dumb articles.
