The Role of Moderator

I’m sorry to have to say this, but Flood has abused his role as moderator in removing my thread concerning Crazymainer and locking down the “Feed an American” thread. The core point in my CrazyMainer thread is that we all need to moderate and censor abbusive behavior. This was recently demonstrated in the “Feed An American” thread when Steve Young was thrust into the role of moderator. I believe that Flood’s and Robbo’s attacks had no place in my thread, or as Mr. Young pointed out, in the Feed thread either.

The problem is that a moderator should not engage in editorial debate with the people he’s supposed to be monitoring. It leads to the classic problem of “who’s policing the police?”.

I disagree with Flood’s views on 9/11, but I respect him for his opinion and feel that he has a perfect right to post here. I just feel that his role as moderator is a conflict of interest.
