Anna, I think I still have my ship spotter book, “Ships of the Solent” C1959 if you would like to hone up your skills on specific marks of ship, though I don’t recall there being any container ships in my edition…

Anna. Very interesting shots with the lense, what was the lens? it seems to produce good detail when the light is fading/getting light.Genuinly interested.

Anna, I know you had a new camera, however, what camera did you use and lense?,
Where were you, were you on a boat or on the land?

Bikinis and beaches are rather rare in Southampton. 😉
Bournemouth is ~25 miles away from Southampton and has a beach, so perhaps redirect her to there?

Flygirl if you are going to keep taking excellent pictures like those you should consider joining this site!

Actually, there is an aviation connection – in six containers aboard one of those vessels are the remains of THAT four-engined bomber from China. They are being transferred onto another ship, heading towards Venezuela where they will reassembled in a ten week rebuild to flying condition.
I’ve sent a money order for $10,000 to Fernandez in Puerto Rico – he’s arranged every step of this transaction, and assures me that something will be flying before the end of the year.
