Hey Guys i was wondering what are peoples opinons are of the situation in Somalia in recent months the warlords have been ousted from “power” by an alliance of Isamlic militas and last night it was reports that a il-76 landing at the capital loaded with arms breaking a UN Arms embargo rumour has it the flight came from Eritrea

isn’t the ethiopain stance that they are there to protect the transtional goverment??
A little bit of both- the Transitional Government is viewed by the Islamic militias as a foreign puppet notably Ethiopian.

Im tempted to say the USA but theres been allot of bad blood between somalia and ethiopia, so who knows??
I did some research and it seems that Ethiopia feared some sort of armed struggle by ethnic Somalis in Ogaden, if Ethiopia continues its troop deployment I believe an all-out war would break out.

From what I’ve heard the Islamic militias has established law and order in Mogadishu, and all of a sudden Ethiopia deployed troops in southern Somalia, who encouraged Ethiopia to do that?
