Oh dear, perhaps he mixed up his messages??
No mix up on my part, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that. I think she’s stunning. 😉

I’m glad to say that I find no beauty in a structure such as this!!

Lets not kid ourselves this thing is nowhere near as beautiful as the Comet (or even Caravelle), looks like somebody forgot to finish drawing it!
The Caravelle nose section was the same as Comets but was modified, especially in the glazing area.
The original images put out by Boeing of the Dreamliner had a very different nose – and tail.
The cockpit windows – and nose profile – were much more streamlined and the fin much more shark like…..

Altogether very rakish and futuristic – the real thing has been redesigned and now looks more ‘ordinary’….. 🙁
The wing flex is very spectacular though – the wingtips bend so far upwards that it puts the Rutan Voyager to shame 😮

i agree the tail and aft end is very 767, but the wings and their apparent ability to flex, are amazing

Yes, the Russian manufacturer Zvezda has an excellent kit in 1:144 scale…..

No suprise that the Russians were the first to `replicate` the design 🙂
Thank you for the link.

It looks more Caravelle to me 🙂
The DH Comet and SUD Caravelle had the same nose section
Any kits out of it yet ?

Great pics, thanks.
Lovely lines and even more graceful in the air.
Nose is reminiscent as someone already said of the Comet/Caravelle.
Interesting wings.

What a beauty of an aircraft! Can’t wait to catch her in service whenever that will be!

P.S. Is that a slight slant to the right I see? 😉

It supposedly reduces noise from the cold stream duct. It looks like it will crack across the “peaks” from “Trough – to trough” to me.

Couple of really nice photos so well done.Whats this jagged edge design on the rear of the outer engine housing unit?does it serve any economical or aerodynamical purpose?.

Agreed, it is weird but I think the photo has a slight panoramic effect added too. I bet Boeing were really chuffed too when they realised they were parked next to they’re biggest rivals Airbus!:diablo:
