This is the title of an article published in the April 2007 Issue of Airforces Monthly by Ronald Lewis, Chief Defense Analyst of the Western Defense Studies Institute.
This is a brilliant article which should be required reading for all interested in this on-going debate.
I would like to repost all or parts of this article on other forums but I cannot get a link to the article.
Can anyone help by providing me with a link?

Just got through reading the article (I think my copy was flown over on an H.P.42… 😀 ). Don’t disagree with the underlying sentiment (i.e. “Saddam had to go”), but I thought the article was extremely poor – lots of theories, but very light on hard evidence. Also seemed a strange article to put in AFM.
Just my five 5 cents’ worth.

Copyright
The article would be properly attributed and I was asking permission first. If your permission is not given, then I will respect that.

Populist?
A poor choice of words on my part. What I should have said was ‘popular’. I meant that up until about six months ago, perhaps longer, I found the magazine to be very informative and worth buying. Then it seemed to go down hill, there was less comment and more garish airshow photo’s.

Trigger what specifically are you referring to when you say populist? I know the meaning of the word, but in terms of AFM what are you referring to?

Air Forces Monthly
I stopped buying this magazine some time ago when I thought that the content had become too populist, however I did buy this issue. I suppose I could scan it and then repost as a PDF but that would be very cumbersome. If there is a chance that the article in question will be given a link online at some point, I would still be interested.
I have also tried to join the Western Defense Studies Institute

since the author belongs to this group.

If it’s in the current issue I highly doubt you will find the article online.
Why don’t you just go buy the magazine or order it from the Key Publishing online store?
I think what he is saying is that he has read the article but would like it to be published here, however it is not yet online.
