The tiny giant(in terms of $$$)-RBAF

Royal Brunei Air Force is the least known air arm in the SEA region. The tiny state did not operate any fast jet to date.Still they owned a credible air assets and to certain extend a bit better than the neighbouring Philipines.RBAF maintain a strong relations. with RMAF/RSAF/RAF/USAF(wise dont you think so?)In the 80s a numbers of RBAF pilots earned their wings with the RSAF(using the S211)in returns SAF are given rights to used Brunei tanks range for the SAF AMX13 SMI.
RMAF do provide air cover -when the need arise (RMAF Labuan home of the 9th sqn -Hawks 208/108)and RBAF regularly send their pilots to RMAF sqn as part of officers exchange programs. The much anticipated Hawks 100/200 deal did not managed to took off-due to lack of expertise and the funds were redirected for the 3 missiles corvettes (based on the RMN Lekiu class frigates). It is interesting to see which types of helos will be selected for the corvettes(95m)-since the RBAF already operate a no of S70A-still if the British/RMN managed to ‘show’ RBN the strong points of the Lynxs-they might opted for the Super Lynx?
