Hi All,
This kind of ties in with the non-aviation photography thread but with a slightly more focussed theme. We’re pretty used to people posting trip reports and photos from far away places on this forum, so after a great day yesterday in Northumberland with fellow forum member EGNM and his other half I thought it might be nice to have a thread for photos from our very own country (if you’re in the UK of course!)
A few from yesterday’s outing to start…
The causeway across to Lindisfarne, tide in:

Tide out:

And finally, a few from the Angel Of The North. I have to admit, I’ve been past this on the A1 probably hundreds of times and always thought of it as an ugly, rusty, pointless waste of space. Having stood underneath it and experienced it close up, I can’t believe how wrong I was. It’s a tremendous and awe inspiring construction; almost overwhelming, in fact.

Thanks for a superb day, guys!
So… Let’s see your UK travel photos! 🙂

Keep em comin
Being an expat in Oz, I really enjoy your shots from the UK. I’ve been here about 30years and still miss the greenery of the UK country side. Here in South Australia, trees are a dingy grey green and for most of the year, the grass is dead. There is a beauty in the outback, in the mountains or by the sea, but non of it is as peaceful as “The green, green grass of home”

Just beautiful…that’s picture postcard stuff!!!
Thanks steve…a lovely setting, one of Queen Victorias fave places from memory, esp if Mr Brown was with her (allegedly :D)
Taken with a little Ricoh 35mil compact which i also used to bolt into my glider for turnpoint photos, almost certainly using Kodak gold 200 film, lovely little camera but the processing quality was very variable (my excuse anyway :D)

A few more for you. 1) I think Brighton Pavillion. 2) Rat island below the Forth Rail Bridge. 3) some little town(Village?) in the Highlands of Scotland though I can’t remember the name. 4) Village square and back of the Highland Hotel, Strathpeffer. The back actually looks far better than the front. 5) Litlle crofter’s cottage somwhere in North East Scotland, again the name escapes me.

Let’s see if I can get a couple on here before I go to work. The first one is Waddesdon Manor near Aylesbury. the second is Rye, Sussex

Just to quickly say, this, in my opinion compares nothing to the shots by Paul further up in the thread, but I found it earlier and thought to give an extension to the fantastic photos!
