As this is the CAA register, the two in the UK are included (or were when I looked last week).
There are a couple of other Pups worth looking into as well – I think we are at three flyers and counting.

Note that the actual manufacturer of replicas is inconsistently recorded in the CAA register.

Well these are fantastic photos.New Zealand certainly seems to be leading the way in WW1 aircraft reconstructions and also new-build engines,both rotary and inline.Does anyone know what the total number of 1st World War reproductions are in New Zealand and what they are specifically?I didn’t even know there was a DH5 flying.Thanks in anticipation.

There were three Fokker Triplanes in use on the day.

ZK-JOB shows the hazards of a crosswind takeoff

ZK-JOC got shot down

and ZK-JOG seemed to survive that day without getting into trouble

The third SE5A participating in the display was ZK-SES which is marked up as ‘B507’

The Vintage Aviator organization has produced two Sopwith Pup replicas, both registered this year.
Unfortunately, given the variable wind conditions at the time of the display, neither flew but were on static display at the flightline.

N6205 ‘Betty’ has been allotted the NZ civil registration of ZK-PPY

While its stablemate ZK-PPD represents B2162

The heavy metal section of the afternoon featured an aerobatic display by Curtiss P-40E Kittyhawk ZK-RMH. This aircraft saw wartime service with the RNZAF as NZ3009 and was briefly G-CCBE in 2003.

The Pfalz is infact the Bianchi “Tiger Moth” replica ( G-ATIJ ) and not the HampshireAircraft Company A/C that is currentlt staic in the Omaka Museum.

The Gerald Thornhill TS 1 Sopwith Camel Replica ZK-JMU runs on a genuine 160hp Le Rhone rotary, and so gives the full sound effects

Bristol Fighter ZK-BRI/2 ‘S’ was the only one of the two in stock to fly – this one was originally G-ACAA

Its formation flying with two of the SE5As showed they needed just that little more practice to get their props fully synchronized

Go away and play boys, until you can get it just right

Great pictures. Looks as though it was a great day of flying. Cool & wet here in Ottawa. We might get a flypast by the Sabre in a couple of hours.

For some reason, I find that the DH5 ZK-JOQ/2 is always really difficult to photograph

The first FE2B-1 replica ZK-FEE/2 flew alongside the new one

Sopwith Triplane Replica ZK-SOP seems to easily outperform the various Fokker Triplanes

New Fokker D.VIII Replica ZK-FES has the lightning flash

while the previous one, ZK-FEV, goes for the vertical

Where elsewhere in the world would you see two airworthy Be-2 in a tailchase?
