They’d have to do a camouflage scheme on it. Just imagine an AN225 doing a wing over !!

Not a Vulcan but equally superb as an engineering feat….http://forums.airshows.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=70453
The crew of the AN 225 asked to do a fly by “for the people” after take off and were told to go ahead, now that is a well done to all.

Does that mean the airport will be paying the cost of dealing with the congestion from the AN225 !

Very nice, and very emotional I’m sure for Martin Withers too!

Rob

I did notice the quick pat at the end from Mr Ramsey

And ironic that Finningley roads were jammed yesterday as people came to watch a AN225 fly in and out.

A very good 9 minute piece by the BBC, covering the last flight-

Ironic that so much was made of the people who donated towards and supported the aircraft, given their deliberate exclusion from the event being covered, but hey ho…

Video now released of highlights of XH558’s Southern Tour.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBaNp4WOZ-0

Which will no doubt bring howls of anger, over locations which were omitted.

Looks a very dodgy set of clips.

That could be a plausible reason for pulling Youtube videos and things I suppose. There must be some cheesy XH558, may we never forget DVD in the works right? Multi-angle footage of a roll, filmed from inside the aircraft, and maybe from some strategic vantage points on the ground?

With the CAA possibly getting involved ? i doubt it,but we are ASSUMING they specifically banned the Vulcan from rolling of course ? .I get warbirds looping and rolling and flight testing over our way most weeks in the summer.

Maybe the truth will be revealed in the up-coming TV documentary? 😉

BB – thanks. Fair enough but it certainly doesn’t sound significant as taken against the thousands of supporters and club members.

Scotavia makes a very valid point.

Theres an expectation that everything every where has to be shared for free . If events are planned and it is by invite only, that always annoys a few when news leaks out later. It happens that private functions are just that, sometimes its asimple matter of buying a ticket and at other times the event is members only or selected members. This is not new, however the internet has promoted an incorrect assumption that no one is to be excluded nowadays.
