I served for 15 years in the RAF and have worked in civil aviation for 11 years, I have visited hundreds of airports and airbases all over the world.
Many have old aircraft on permenant display at the main gate/entrance, some good some bad but this one from Halim Perdanakusuma in Jakarta really takes the award for the most hilarious. The shark mouth is the finishing touch……
What do you think? do you know of a worse case?

it maybe an odd ball aircraft but at least it looks as if it’s maintained properly rather than left to slowly decay like so many RAF gate guardians.
Ah, I watched the pillar being built as I passed everyday going to work and wondered what they would put up there, imagime my surprise when that thing arrived. It has been up there about 14 months so give it time…..
