I took the memsaab to to see Michael Bolton in Newcastle years ago and while waiting out side,i heard him sing Ave Maria as a warm up.
Hes not in the same class as placido but he holds his own here.

I saw Billy Joel live a couple of years ago and it was one of the best gig experiences ever for me. Not only were the band stupidly good and had groove to die for, it was by far the most tastefully and musically mixed arena show I’ve ever heard. Half way through the very first bar the band played I just thought…. “YEEEEES!” Absolute, pure class in every respect. I had a pretty awesome time that evening!
