The Dutch Air War museum at Deelen is reporting a nasty break in that has seen them lose a number of artefacts and a lot of other damage committed by the criminals.
Please keep an eye out for any of the items listed
– Duits MP38
– Duits MP40 (metal detector find)
– British Sten (metal detector find)
– Duits MG131 13mm airplane machine gun (metal detector find)
– Duits MK108 30mm airplane cannon (metal detector find)
– Duitse 10 x 80 Flak-viewer
– Duits statief voor het Kommandohilfsgerät 35
– Duits Luftlog the V1 (small propeller on the nose of a V1)

Terrible, terrible terrible.
I cannot understand why these idiots have to destruct and destroy on their missions, obviously from what was taken it was to order, a collector no doubt who will stuff them under his/her bed before getting bored.
I do hope they are caught and go to court.
That usually the point. Vandalise to make it look like a random act and to try and throw folks off the scent that it was a “to order” robbery. Or the scary thought that as it was weapons they were after it’s someone who thinks they work and was looking for an easy way to “tool-up”.

There should be good pics of the parts so they can be identified by numbers or any other marks. Since this is massproduced items …. hope the parts get back to museum.
