Them slides again

Some more slide copies, some not the best in quality and focus but these days we’ve just got to “treasure the past” it may be all we have to add a bit of colour to what is a grey future with some saying we could end up with a six squadron air farce, sorry force.:) http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/zz73/jetage4/IMG_9013_1.jpghttp://i815.photobucket.com/albums/zz73/jetage4/IMG_9002.jpghttp://i815.photobucket.com/albums/zz73/jetage4/IMG_8995_1_1.jpghttp://i815.photobucket.com/albums/zz73/jetage4/IMG_8969.jpghttp://i815.photobucket.com/albums/zz73/jetage4/IMG_8968.jpghttp://i815.photobucket.com/albums/zz73/jetage4/IMG_8951.jpghttp://i815.photobucket.com/albums/zz73/jetage4/IMG_8934_1.jpghttp://i815.photobucket.com/albums/zz73/jetage4/IMG_8894.jpghttp://i815.photobucket.com/albums/zz73/jetage4/IMG_8897.jpghttp://i815.photobucket.com/albums/zz73/jetage4/IMG_8928.jpghttp://i815.photobucket.com/albums/zz73/jetage4/IMG_8863_1.jpg

It’ll surprise you that a born and bred southerner understands that exactly!! Mind you it is one who’s always had a soft spot for the North East and spent a fair bit of time among you lot!!;):) And my son studied up there, although it was the mackem side of the Tyne!

Go-Geordie

I had already guessed that, being a Geordie and all…. but just had to ask :D:D:D

Taken in mid 90s and it took off from the quayside on the Gateshead side where HMS Calliope is based.:)

A few more from the part time trucker, yes that was “trucker” who’s steady posts week by week show that sales of trucks aren’t top of people’s shopping lists these days.maybe after all these uprisings sales might take a turn for the better as I see plenty of them being set alight,so a few trips to Southhampton might be on the cards.Anyway before you lose interest here’s todays selection..:) http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff428/lordjohn1/CNV00017.jpghttp://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff428/lordjohn1/CNV00014.jpghttp://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff428/lordjohn1/000064.jpghttp://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff428/lordjohn1/000061.jpghttp://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff428/lordjohn1/000059.jpghttp://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff428/lordjohn1/000054.jpghttp://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff428/lordjohn1/0000052.jpghttp://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff428/lordjohn1/0000039.jpghttp://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff428/lordjohn1/000021.jpghttp://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff428/lordjohn1/000020-1.jpghttp://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff428/lordjohn1/000078.jpghttp://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff428/lordjohn1/000015-2.jpghttp://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff428/lordjohn1/000017-1.jpghttp://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff428/lordjohn1/000010.jpg

Sure is! 😮 edit- I should’ve known, the hemp 57’s had a version of the unit badge on the fin, rather than that earlier marking. Doh!

This should link to the last page of our work diary: [url]JT442, in theory that photo should be pre-86, as 57 disbanded in june of that year. Depends how swift they were (or weren’t!) at repainting the squadron badge…

She wore a 57sqn badge on her stbd side until at least 2003….

There’s your theory blown out of the water Blue. 😀

Nope it’s kosher! A few of us want her back in green/grey but she wouldn’t be Lindy then, so that’ll not be happening 🙁
Sorry for the thread hijack 😮

Her First Gulf War noseart. Most of the Victors involved were given nose art and names of the crew chiefs’ wives/girlfriends.
