I don’t know, arguments over pistons and Jets will be with us for the rest of time, what has got to be remembered is all love one thing……….AIRCRAFT, so stop the bickering!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good shots Plazz, nice to see the Jet side of Duxford’s collection.
Let me know how the installation of the Crew Amp and Junction box goes at Brunty tomorrow and if you see Nick Colledge (Iskra volunteer), just let him know that I have not forgotten about the tour of Kemble that I promised him.

Plazz what day where you there?
stewart1a,
It was Tuesday. Why do you ask? I see from the Hawk at DX thread that you’ve been working on the TSR2. Maybe you were there whilst I was keeping Harmon King busy chatting for the best part of an hour about the Buccaneer and TSR2?

Same for Spitfires et al – use them for wind machines and hair dryers Use the melted down remains for skips… :p
Well said Arm Waver 😉 😀 😀 Anna 😉

I will say this again jets should have their engines removed and stuck on runway de-icers and whats left should be melted down and used for something useful like pots and pans.

Nice pics.
Dare I say I like cooling fans and hairdryers.
Question: is the IWM’s F-86A currently on display at Duxford?

did they fill the A-10 cannon barrels with lead? I have somewhere a pic of me sticking a finger in it when it was on the ground and I still remember the feeling..

Ah yes, but girls like jets don’t they – and we all like girls – don’t we?
You can keep your boring old Blenheim, Bearcat, Hellcats, WW1 stuff etc – dull as ditch water. Handy airshow break to go round the stalls though!
Yes I know bait is bitten and you can just reel me in. Teddy is armed and ready to go.
” But sir, Digby started it…. ” 😀

Jets are for kids>>>>
Try telling that to Air Atlantique, Delta jets, HHA, Kennet Avation, LPG and VTS among others, sorry but the “oh no its a jet” comment that some people drag out is uncalled for, lets not forget the hours and hours of unpaid work put in by people at the above named groups so we can enjoy classic jets.

Definatly better than being on a fire dump. Looking at the pictures though, how nice would it be to see a Phantom and a Sea Vixen in formation! Bliss!!
That would be bloody stunning, why not stick an ex FAA Buck in just to put the cherry on the cake.
