Well, question, is there anything you still want to learn?
Here’s my list :
1. Spanish (shouldn’t be so difficult I guess, I can speak French and know Latin)
2. learning to play the piano
3. Build a website of my own (I’m a computer-dummie)

Not all giutarists use tab…lol(me I am a snob when it comes to tab…..lol).Yeah its easier to learn to play by Tablature but at some point you end up having to learn music if you take it up seriously…
Edmund go for it..Learn the scales on your chosen instrument first and then bother with the music later(drums excluded from that little bit of advice.I have never played drums so really woudn’t know where to start)..Most important thing to remember when learning any musical instrument is do it at your own pace and enjoy what you play…;)
Absolutely true , but tabs make it easier at the begining.
Good advice from Woundsinger

Let’s see:
Languages: russian, latin, at least one native american tongue (guarani, mapuche or quechua/aymara come to mind as the ones still widely spoken in South America)
Manual skills: fine carpentry or cabinet making, silversmith/jewelry welding, aerograph to paint my models, professional photography
Sports: rockclimbing, rollerblading, and here it comes: pilot!
Social skills: chase away all the ugly girls I seem to attract like honey the bees, and get some more catch-as-can with the pretty ones, learn how to bargain while shopping

Guitarists use tabs which are much easier to read.

I would love to be able to play a musical instrument, but I’m hopeless when it comes to learning how to read music.

I wouldn’t mind learning to speak Polish. And learn how to hang glide!

For those who want to learn spanish, I have advice for you as Ive had to teach myself spanish. Start out with a book that just teaches you common words, theres alot of cognates between english and spanish so it wont take too long. Dont try to learn grammar right away as it will only fustrate you. The biggest problem I encountered in spanish was verb conjugation, so familiarize yourself with it right away or else sentences just wont make sense. Also youll notice that spanish speakers speak in a sort of rapid fire staccato, this is not a style of speech but the correct way to speak. Words have to be run together rythmaclly, if you pronounce words seperately, it makes the language sound labored. For example it doesnt sound right to say como esta seperatly, you say COMOsta. If you practice your spanish in Spain, you may find they talk very fast, or it least it seems that way to me on tv, as well as dealing with the lisp they use in some parts and a nazal inflection women seem to use. Learning spanish in university Im sure is good, but if you dont practice it, youll just forget everything you studied. There are intensive emersion schools here in Mexico that can have you speaking basic spanish in about a month. Its 6 hours a day, 5 days a week for about $400 a month. I recomend this one:

I’d like to learn how to read women’s minds…
And Italian, Spanish, French, Russian, German, Arabic and Turkish – not necessarily in that order.
After that, I want to learn to be satisfied by the little things in life without wanting any of the stupid, pointless big stuff that most people (including me) want.

There are so many things I could say here. But probably the most important thing for me would be to learn to cope better with adversity, to more fully accept the deterioration in my health and to come to terms with the things I am no longer able to do and the things I will not be able to do in the future.

Well, English is more or less a lingua franca. I don’t consider it to be a real language, unless you’re really, really dumb (or Anglo-Saxon :D).
I still have my doubts on Italian, but I think Spanish is better to learn first, it’s still a language spoken worldwide.
