This video was taken at the 2005 Planes of Fame annual airshow at Chino Airport, California, just a few miles from where I live (see link below). SoCal is warbird heaven as far as I am concerned, yes! 🙂 .
These Thunderbolts were four of SEVEN (yes, seven) Jugs that were at Chino on that weekend (May 2005). Five Thunderbolts flew, one of the Yanks Air Museum’s P-47s was on the flight line but did not fly and their other one was in their museum building at the west side of Chino Airport. Talk about Thunderbolt overload!
I must give credit; this clip appears in the Palm Springs Air Museum’s DVD “Five P-47s in Flight.” I had to post it just because it is so darn good and better than anything I could have taken! Enjoy the video!
