Especially (and I hope YAK11 passes this on ) a big thank you to Maurice Hammond – for filling the gap left by the Spit at last minute (ie 2 hrs) notice – you are a gentleman sir, and if i ever meet you the first pint is on me
I will certainly pass it on this evening. It was a great show and I’ll certainly be back next year. Thanks to everyone involved.

Damien,
Watch out for those mixed grills – the chlorestorol count is huge. But they were sooooooooooooo delicious.
Cheers,
Trapper 69 (alias Colonel Ivor Bolokov ex SovAF Su27 OCU boss and Po2 driver)

A very enjoyable show at Sywell today!
Well done to all involved. Took the whole family to this one and we had a great day!
I must say that these ‘smaller shows’ Sywell, Chailey, L Gransden, Rougham have really delighted me this year! Great days out!

What a cracker it was. My cousins Wyatt Werp and Ivor Bolokov along with uncle Ritter von Shiessen Hausen had a fabulous time after locking me in the car boot. Everyone I spoke to in the crowd enjoyed it enormously. Thanks to the organisers who put together a first rate airshow that was a great credit to all those magic past shows at Sywell
Cheers,
Trapper 69
PS – It was the fifth anniversary today of Mark Hanna’s tragic accident. I think he would have enjoyed the show today. Perhaps he did – I certainly would like to think so. Rest in peace Mark, your enthusiasm and skills will always be remembered by all the airshow family.

Rob, well I managed to find you at Duxford(or should I say you and Nick found me) but missed you at OW the next day. Andy and Andrew explained that you were playing hide & seek the other side of the fence.
I can pm you my mobile number if you want or vice versa.

very nice! does anyone know if they are going to repaint the Catalina during the winter and if so in which markings?
Many thanks
It is planned to re-paint it in white, but not military. It will leave plenty of space for advertising…Red Bull Cat, anyone? :diablo:

Bump and hopefully arriving Sat weather permitting, Met doesnt have it looking to good up here for Sat at the moment. If not it will be an early Sunday morning take off and either a 30 min wizz or a 80 min chugg depending on which aircraft Im in.
Matthew and his team have sweated blood preparing for this event so I hope it will get all the support it deserves.
Looking forward to seeing you all.
