Snatched a few hours up at Bristol Airport this weekend – the weather turning out to be better than forecast 🙂
The EZY A319s are getting more numerous now that they’re replacing the based 737-700s.

Hoping to get more trips to my new locals (LHR + LGW) soon 🙂
Phil.

cdrb was the one at brs, I thought it was a diff. one at filton………….maybe not, however, the one at filton is in spankin new globespan scheme now, and quite pretty I think.
Hmm, it’s possible that it was CDKT at Filton as that is away getting painted into full GSM colours just now.

cheers chaps, I am not a reg collector personally so I’ll see if I can see it on any of my other shots,
I noticed that there was a flyglobespan 737 in BRS today, looks very pretty (much cleaner than the one in the shot……….which appeared to be on a training flight as it did not go to a gate, stayed on the taxi-way for 10 mins or so, did not refuel, and went straight out………)
EDIT: Just checked a piccy and the Globespan 737 is G-CDRB
So was CDRB in full GSM colours today or was it still in part SAS colours?
It’s their latest B736 which should be in service very soon.

Excellent pics from both of you.
Did you get the reg on the Flyglobespan B736, was it G-CDRB? Was that taken at BRS or Filton?

The man does indeed use a step-ladder.
That really helps out with getting just-taken off shots. I get through-the-fence shots with my 500mm, as the lense is effectively staring right past it……………not sure about being able to get through with less than that.
Heres a few shots I got in the late afternoon on the 03/12………..soo late I needed ISO 800/1600.
Hope you don’t mind mr flibble!

Great pictures there Phil!!
It’s really nice to see some photos from my local for a change. 🙂
PS – How did you manage to not get that nasty security fence in your pictures? Did you use a step-ladder or something?
Rgds,
Joe

Those are first class shots lad…………i wonder why at five to seven per cent saving on fuel burn, Easyjet never purchased or retrofitted winglets to their 737-700 fleet??????

These shots are fantastic. My favs are probably the first and last ones, probably cos I like the 757 and 737-200 (hoping for one next week! 😀 )
Keep up excellent work & bristol looks a great place to go.

Very very nice! 😀
BRS does look like a great place to spot with a nice variety of traffic – you can’t beat that CO 757 rotating.

Fab photos! I’ve noticed that BRS is a nice little airport to shoot photos from! You get some good movements from there now including the lovely Easyjet 319’s and Continental. Them Ryanair 732’s are still getting about! Looks filthy and just messy! Alot of people may disagree with me now but come on Ryanair!!… retire the rest of ya old bangers and role in an all 738 operation!
