For many years I believed in the explanation of lift as explained in the classic book Stick and Rudder. Then about 10 years ago I read in Aeroplane that lift created by a wing was due to the circular airflow moving clockwise from the bottom to the top surface of the wing. But reading NASA’s web page about lift creation boils down to understanding some calculus equation that I don’t fathom. Does anybody feel comfortable in explaining how lift on a wing is generated and please don’t tell me that it is money that keeps a plane in the air.
